  6. There is now a Kermit available for the HP2647 programmable graphics
  7. terminal, with or without tape units.  It supports data compression
  8. and interaction with servers.  The executable module is in the form of
  9. a long ESCAPE sequence that drives the resident loader.  After being
  10. loaded it can be invoked as needed by typing 'kermit' in command mode.
  11. This Kermit can probably be adapted to run on other HP264x models.

  18. Subject: Release 1.2 of Kermit for HP264x
  19.  
  20. At long last, the new release of Rover-Kermit is ready.  The update
  21. consists of new versions of HP264X.ASM, HP264X.HEX, and HP264X.MSS,
  22. and the latter should provide a new HP264X.DOC as well.  The following
  23. are the most important of the changes and improvements in Release 1.2:
  24.  
  25.  1. Two-byte checksums.
  26.  2. Mnemonic commands for setting parameters.
  27.  3. More elaborate display of current settings.
  28.  4. ^X/^Z interruption.
  29.  5. Retain filespec on RAM file.
  30.  6. Display any characters received while waiting for handshake.
  31.  7. Fixed bug in creating repeat strings from runs longer than 94.
  32.  8. Flush data communication buffer before starting any transaction
  33.     (except the first in a given session).
  34.  9. The ROLL and HOME keys now work for the conversation workspace.
